LARK HOTEL RENOVATION

Richard Fernau was the design consultant to ThinkTank Design Group on this project.

Located in downtown Bozeman, Montana, the Lark Hotel is a renovated 1960s motor lodge and serves as a unique basecamp that assists visitors in exploring the area. The main lobby is an information station stocked with local USGS maps and guides, and staffed with knowledgeable Lark team members who are familiar with the local area. The lobby opens to a shaded outdoor courtyard with a fireplace that allows visitors to enjoy the terrace year-round and to take-in the views of downtown Bozeman. Each room also connects visitors to the landscape and experiences that exist right outside their doors by featuring infographics about Montana and art made by local Montana artists.
